Maestro-The Only Indian
Tarun Gupta
Cricket has always been worship for Indian. But,with Board of
Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI's) new initiation of Indian Premier
League,Cricket has found a new life and reason to breathe for the cricket
buffs.
Many cricket fans believe
that having a less time consuming cricket game could bring all the more fun in
watching cricket.
Cricket, a religion that binds people together, a season that brings families
together under one roof to spend time and cheer for their favourite cricketer
or team. The intimate love for cricket cannot be demarcated in words; it needs
to be expressed with something beyond emotions.
There are just a few of the countless titles
that the cricketing world has bestowed upon its favourite son-Sachin Ramesh
Tendulkar. He is nothing short of a demigod. His records include a long list
including ODI, Test, World and other batting records, which if stacked up,
would create a pile many, many times taller than the man’s 5 feet 5-inch frame.
It is rightly said, Sachin doesnot chase records, records chase Sachin. He is
the leading run-getter in both Test cricket and ODIs. In spite of having 100
centuries in his kitty, the Master Blaster still lives his life with a thirst
to beat down every challenge that comes his way.
The most challenging thing in Sachin’s life would be the manic energy of a cricketing format called the Indian Premier League. Adapting to a faster format of the game and a covenant of scoring runs quickly for the team was something the world did not expect the 40-year-old man to do. Critics claimed that he was too old for the game, and so did a few legendary team mates. But as they say sachin’s bat has always silenced words spoken by critics.
When it comes to Sachin, there is nothing he can’t do.With thirteen half centuries followed by a century in the IPL records, there is nothing that can stop the sanctified devotee of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. He averaged 47.53 and 42.53 in 2010 and 2011 respectively. This only prove the old adage of ‘form is temporary, class is permanent’ to be true yet again.
In Twenty20, batsmen are
the ones fans fill up the stadiums for and glare at their TV sets. Looking at other various popularly known events such
as Tour de France, It was a smart thought from IPL organisers to
reconise the effort and offer the orange cap to the leading run scorer as the
tournament unfolds.
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is the Only Indian to Win Orange Cap in IPL History, even the young generation T-20 specialist have failed to make any influence alongside with best captain in the IPL awards 2010. He is also only Indian to score 600 runs in a single season. In 2010 IPL Sachin made 618 runs (14 innings)

No one has captured the imagination of the cricketing world like this MAN has over the last 24 years. Making his mark in international cricket at the tender age of 16, he has broken almost all meaningful batting records there was to. He has played a crucial role in the Mumbai Indians’ set-up since the inception of the tournament. The 40-year-old Legend has a three-figure score from IPL 2011.
It is generally assumed in India that 35 and above, your career is finished. But Sachin Tendulkar is meant to break rules and regulations so it should not be surprising he is still batting even when he is 40.
